C-DAC is a Scientific Society of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India. It is India’s National initiative in Advanced Computing with a mission to deliver the state-of-the-art open architecture Parallel Supercomputers in the Tera-Flops range for scientific, engineering and business applications. A major spin-off of the high tech mission is the high quality intellectual resource base that has emerged at C-DAC in the form of an expert team and its specialized knowledge of various facets of Advanced Computing. With this precious resource base at its command, C-DAC established the Advanced Computing Training School (ACTS) to meet the existing and prospective needs of IT Industry.
Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan’s Academy of Information Technology (AIT) Mumbai under the wings of Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC, Pune), is just a small step towards a bigger aim of providing Quality Computer Education and transforming its students into tomorrow’s professionals.
AIT has the state of art infrastructure including corporate standard laboratories open for 24 hrs equipped with the latest state of art technologies. YCP’s AIT is the first centre of C-DAC in Mumbai, to have been recommended for ISO certification.
AIT students are trained through an online method of learning. Besides lectures from expert faculty, we also organize lectures by visiting faculty, video-based sessions, seminars, assignments, faculty student discussions, etc. We also have a well-equipped library, with a wide array of manuals and international Journals along with course related text and CDs.
The DAC course is a comprehensive and full time course conducted by us under rules and regulations strictly laid down by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Pune. Under the requirements of DAC the student is required to do a live project in any of the subjects included in the syllabus.
